Medals in Palermo!
During the Palermo Arabian Horse Cup C Int. (20th-21st of May) in the capital of Sicily, two mares representing our stud, have won their age classes, competed a day later for medals in championships abounding in numerous and strong in terms of quality rivals.
Competing in the junior mares was the grey D Leen (D Seraj – D Maha by Eden C), who won the 3 year old mares class with a score of 93.13 points (including 4 x 20) and on Sunday won the Junior Mares Gold Medal unanimously, in great style and to the applause of the audience.
The group of senior mares included the bay D Dawaly (FA El Rasheem – D Danat by SG Labib). After winning the class, although falling while running into the ring (luckily she did not get injured), the judges still gave her a high score of 92.38 points.
It was the second show this season for D Leen, who won the Gold Medal of the Junior Mares at the Travagliato Arabian Horse Festival (C Int.) a month earlier, and the first show this season for D Dawaly, who had never been shown in Europe before.
